A Rainy Day
A typical rainy day occurs in the rainy season. On such a day it rains continuously. The sky is covered with clouds and the nature is dark and gloomy. However, the day has its demerits to a great extent. A rainy day may be somehow enjoyable to the rich, but the poor. suffer a lot. The day labourers can not work and earn their livelihood. So their family remains half fed or unfed. On a rainy day stretched umbrellas are seen in great numbers and people slip over on slippery roads. Birds and animals are wet with rain-water and they remain ill-fed the day. Passers-by without an umbrella get drenched and their clothes get spots of mud. Nature deems to be bathing in ceaseless rain. To conclude, a rainy day, with all its merits and demerits,is a natural phenomenon.

A Rainy Day
On a rainy day, it rains all day long. A rainy day is dull and gloomy. Sometimes it rains hard and sometimes it drizzles. The sky is overcast with thick clouds. The sky is not seen. None can go out without an umbrella. Water stands on roads and roads become muddy. On a rainy day man can not go out for normal activities. those who have urgent works or offices and other business go out with umbrella over the head, shoes in hand and the clothes folded up to knee.
Passers-by also move in the same way. Sometimes people slip and fall on the muddy road. When it rains in torrents, people get drenched and stop midway. The poor people and day labourers become jobless. They can not go out in quest of work and can not earn their daily food. They pass the day through sufferings. But the rich enjoy the day. They eat delicious items of food and pass the day sitting before a television set.
Most of the students do not go to school. Only a few go to school but they get drenched on the way. So classes are not held. It is a day of great joy to them. Other people also stay at home and pass the day without doing anything. The cattle keep standing in their sheds and below for fodder. A rainy day is not pleasant at all.
