৮ম শ্রেণির মূল্যায়ন নির্দেশিকা ইংরেজি ২০২৪ : অষ্টম শিক্ষার্থীরা কোনো শিখন যোগ্যতা অর্জনের পথে কতটা অগ্রসর হচ্ছে তা পর্যবেক্ষণের সুবিধার্থে প্রতিটি একক যোগ্যতার জন্য এক বা একাধিক পারদর্শিতার সূচক (Performance Indicator, PI) নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। প্রতিটি পারদর্শিতার সূচকের আবার তিনটি মাত্রা নির্ধারণ করা যোগ্যতাসমূহের পারদর্শিতার সূচকসমূহ এবং তাদের তিনটি মাত্রা পরিশিষ্ট-১ এ দেয়া আছে।

প্রতিটি পারদর্শিতার সূচকের তিনটি মাত্রাকে মূল্যায়নের তথ্য সংগ্রহের সুবিধার্থে চতুর্ভুজ, বৃত্ত, বা ত্রিভুজ (ロ 〇 △) দিয়ে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে)। শিখনকালীন ও সামষ্টিক উভয় ক্ষেত্রেই পারদর্শিতার সূচকে অর্জিত মাত্রার উপর ভিত্তি করে শিক্ষার্থীর যোগ্যতা অর্জনের মাত্রা নির্ধারিত হবে।

অর্জিত মাত্রা নিরূপণ করবেন ও রেকর্ড করবেন। এছাড়া শিক্ষাবর্ষ শুরুর ছয় মাস পর একটি এবং বছর শেষে আরেকটি যান্মাসিক সামষ্টিক মূল্যায়ন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। সামষ্টিক মূল্যায়নে শিক্ষার্থীদের পূর্বনির্ধারিত কিছু কাজ (এসাইনমেন্ট, প্রকল্প ইত্যাদি) সম্পন্ন করতে হবে।

Chapter-1: Beauty in Poetry

Activity 1.3.5 Students outline the rhyming patterns of the poem. They write line number and the pattern like A, B, etc.

Activity 1.3.8 (Individual work) Students identify similes in the poem.

Activity 1.4.2 (Group work) Students outline similes and rhyme patterns used in the poem.

Chapter-2: The Bizhu Festival

Activity 2.3.4 (Individual work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether the learners can appropriately identify the steps to write summary.

Activity 2.3.7 (Individual work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether the learners can

appropriately follow the steps to write summary.

Activity 2.4.1 (Group work) Students use steps and write a summary.

Chapter-3: Language and Power

Activity 3.3.4 (Pair work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether the learners can appropriately identify the features of instrumental power in the conversation and write them in the given grid.

Activity 3.3.5 (Group work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether the learners can identify and explain group of people holding better or lower positions.

Chapter-4: Paraphrasing and Rephrasing

Activity 4.3.2 (Individual work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students paraphrase the texts using strategies and present before the class.

Activity 4.4.1 (Individual work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students follow the steps and paraphrase the information presented in the graph.

Activity 4.4.3 Students follow the guidelines, use various paraphrasing techniques and paraphrase the text.

Chapter-5: Writing Cohesively

Activity 5.3.1 (Pair work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students identify cohesive devices in the text.

Activity 5.3.4 After peer checking, teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students use different cohesive devices to organize the paragraph, and organize the paragraphs to develop an essay.

Activity 5.4.1 The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students use cohesive devices to develop a paragraph on “The ways your school can help the students with mental health issue”.

Chapter-6: Introducing Someone Formally

Activity 6.3.1 (Pair work) The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students discuss and identify formal features from the text, and they complete the table.

Activity 6.3.2 The teacher examines the learners’ scripts to see whether students discuss and identify formal features from the text.

Activity 9.4.2 Students write three types of texts based on the images. The length of each text is between 8-10 sentences. It is an individual activity and the teacher will examine each script.
